It’s that time again….

JOIN US…tomorrow, Thurs, Sept 26th, for another day of

HOMESCHOOLIN’ in the PARK

DETAILS:
So what exactly IS “Homeschooling in the Park?”
It is simply a time where mamas and their kids (plus any dads who can make it!) can come together for an INFORMAL day of relaxation, exploration, campfire fellowship, food and fun.

We will be meeting once again at the BEAUTIFUL Mingo Creek County Park not far from Rt 79.

Our group meets from noon until about 4pm, but please come and go as you are able. Some families enjoy coming earlier to explore the park, and a few even stay through until dinnertime. You can do whatever works for you and your crew.

LOCATION CHANGE: It’s officially FALL, and so for Sept and October, will be meeting BACK at PAVILION 7 so that we can have a fire going throughout the day!
This location also offers picnic tables, wide fields, a large playground, and bathrooms.

NATURE WALK: There is also a creek bed not far from this site, though it is still fairly overgrown from summer, and there is not a whole lot of water flowing….We always plan a nature walk regardless, so please bring WATER SHOES or RAIN BOOTS if you would like to participate in that.

ALL ages are welcome, big kids too, ESPECIALLY TO HELP WITH THE FIRE!! ;D
Moms, you may want to consider bringing along a change of clothing for your children, and camp chairs or a blanket for the ground or table. Again, we strongly recommend that your kids wear water shoes, rain boots, or some other play shoes that can get wet, as they will probably want to explore and enjoy the shallow creek.

Moms with babies: please join us! And bring your baby carrier if you’d like to do any walking, as not all areas are stroller accessible. We tend to park in one main location for the day, so pack and plays also work great to keep little ones safe, and provide a spot for napping if you stay through the day.

LUNCH: Each family needs to pack their OWN lunches & snacks. If you plan on grilling out, please bring your own charcoal and lighter.
As we do each month, there will be a table set up for foods you may want to bring to share (desserts, marshmallows for roasting, etc), but this is not necessary.

Hope to see you there!

Blessings,
Joanna
